neverwinter nights question

im trying to get the game installed but after i return to disc one to start playing it says something like error, some files have been changed and NWN is no longer playable, run the criticalrebuild.exe on the root of the cd. What does this mean, and where do i find the root of the cd?

Which version do you have and are these the original discs?

i have the gold edition and they are the original, the problem is i put in all the discs up to 4, it finished installing the 4th one then asks for the first one again. So after i put it in the screen stays black even though i hear the disc being read and nothing happens so i open/close the drive again then it gives me that error and i have to go through the whole process again. I found the criticalrebuild file and i tried installing when i put the disc back in (black screen was still running) but it didnt do anything

Are you running any antivirus software in the background while installing your game? It could be a faulty disk as well.

no i dont have an antivirus running and i dont think the disc is faulty cause it installs everything on it the first time i have to put it in. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated guys, thanks
