On Maximum video card and maximum graphic's settings I get 22 FPS Minimum and 79 Maximum, Averaging 36 FPS. I want to see what other people are getting with their computer.

My specs:

AMD Athlon X2 4200
2GB OCZ Ram
Two eVGA 7600GT's running in SLi

I have 4GB of ram but I dont want to overkill my motherboard. Im contemplating trying it with 4GB though.

Running F.E.A.R. on a Pentium 4 3ghz, 1gb mem, nvidia 6600GT.

With settings set at medium to minimum I'm getting between 70-100 fps, not too bad really but i do get that digital 'tearing' when i move fast thru areas.. obviously got the V-sync off hence the 'tearing'..

If I had the money I'd get a s**t hot card.. either that or play F.E.A.R on 800x600 (as I am) or even 640x480..

What do you mean you don't want to overkill your motherboard? Are you saying you pull some of the RAM out before you play?

It could come down to what one considers "maxed". Some will say that maxed graphics is having every video option in game turned to its highest available level, others will say that the game has to be at the highest graphics settings and you should have on 6x AA and 16x AF. It also depends on how you set your video card drivers, whether or not you have them set for performance or quality.

Understood, so everyone reporting this and that about their FPS isn't a true comparison. Maybe someone should set some guidlines so everyone will be on an even footing, and then post FPS and then we could get a true comparison, but only if everyone is honest.
