I have to agree... After the relative disappointment of BF2, I can't really get excited about it, though it does look fairly cool... There's just something about the BF series after '42... Meh, I'll be clinging to ET: Quake Wars this time

ET: Quake Wars looks like it'll be good. BF2 was a disappointmet? Those i know that have it, say it's awesome.

Looking at this with squinted eyes..

The trailer looks quite good, yet its nothing that hasn't been seen before, its just the BF2 elements that make it appealing. Considering BF2 was shunted out for the summer full of bugs, does anyone have high hopes for a bug free BF2142?

Looks interesting enough but considering its not out til late next year, haven't they considered that Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is already gonna be out and have a high number of players and having checked the trailer for ET: QW a long time ago, the BF2142 trailer looks quite similar.

Anyway its each to their own n its probably the original 'big, over the top war' concept of BF2 thats probably gonna attract people..

In my honest opinion tho.. i will probably have a look at both n play the demos.. but theres a year to fill with other games in the meantime..

Today we have some really big news to share with you. The more sniper-eyed of you out there will probably already know, but we're currently hard at work developing "Battlefield 2142", which is scheduled for release this Autumn. As you'll have guessed, this is a departure for the BF series as we're going into the future - something that a lot of you wanted to see happen in the BF universe. We're creating a ton of cool features that you won't have seen in any BF before, including cloaking devices, mines that follow you, awesome new rifles, guns and grenades, and of course, MECHS! We're developing this here in DICE Stockholm while the DICE Canada studio will be hard at work on a 1.3 update for Battlefield 2, as well as the Armoured Fury Booster Pack.
