I like to purchase my movies. I like to view some movies over and over again.

I rent more than I buy.
Just bought Lady and the Tramp, and will buy the new Harry Potter.

I don't really watch movies at home - I like the theater better.

We'll order most of our movies over Pay per view, which I consider renting.

I said rent, because we'll generally rent a movie first. If we really like it, then we buy it.

I actually buy a lot of "previously viewed" movies from blockbuster. They're way cheaper, plus they give you a warranty. They always let me look at the discs first too (for scrateches), before I decide if I want it.

I prefer to buy. I am usually so forgetful when it comes to returning movies that I end up paying late fees and by the time everything is over with I am saving money anytime I buy a movie instead of renting 2+ times.

Renting too, I think I own all off 3 movies, and I'm not even sure of that.

I always purchase the movies I love. I usually try to wait until they're off the "expensive" list though :-)

Unless I loved it and couldn't wait.

I checked rent because that's what I do most of the time, but I like to buy faves so I can view them repeatedly.

This is usually how my movie choice works....

If a movie interests me enough, I'll go see it on the big screen.

If I really enjoy the movie, Ill buy it on DVD for the extra content, and to view whenever I want to.

If I'm kinda ho-hum about a movie preview... I'll skip it at the theater, and wait and rent it later on... although the rental fee ( 4-5 bucks ) is now about the same as the matinee fee at the theater ( 5 bucks).

I barely watch any TV. I actually dont even know whats in the theaters playing =P Although I'm in that boat my family still watched TV. We have a bookcase half full of movies and the other half books. Although we do rent movies I'd say we buy more than we rent in general.

I do not watch a lot of TV, but I do watch a lot of movies at the house. I have access to free movies at the theater, but we rarely ever go. Maybe once or twice a year. For the cost of two tickets, or a bag of popcorn and two drinks, I can buy a new release DVD. Unlike the theater, if I do not like the movie, I can then trade it in towards credit for a new one. Besides, the ability to pause, rewatch and all the extras makes buying the DVD a much better option.
