It's been a long wait, but after much drooling and speculation, Bethesda at last announced an official ship date for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: both the PC and Xbox 360 versions will arrive in stores March 20.
"Oblivion will set the new standard for next generation gaming and change the way role-playing games are viewed forever," said Bethesda president Vlatko Andonov. "We set very high goals and ensure they are reached because that is what our fans deserve and have come to expect from Bethesda Softworks. We are very proud of our team's accomplishments with respect to Oblivion."
Along with the standard edition, Bethesda and publisher 2K Games will release The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Collector's Edition, which features a media-packed bonus DVD, a replica Septims coin, and a 112-page "Pocket Guide to the Empire."

We may have to forgive him.
He probably wet his pants when he saw the announcement, and didn't have time to check to see if it had already been done!

I am going to guess that the following events led up to this post:
Fzoul was playing WoW and he decided to head out and grind somewhere. The place he was going was one of the longer flight paths (whatever the alliance equivelent of orgrimmar to gagetzan is ). During this time he alt-tabbed to find something to do. Fzoul thought "Hmm I haven't posted on 3DG for like a week, let me find something interesting to post". So he heads to BigGamingNewsSite.com (in this case, IGN) and picks an article. He copy/pastes a bit from it along with some links, hits submit, then alt-tabs back into the game (possibly scanning a few other posts first). 12 hours later, he is ready to go to bed after a long day of playing WoW so he goes back to 3DG and check out what people have been saying in his thread, only to find out that the same thing was posted not long before.
Now this may or may not be true, but it certainly happened to me before during my WoW days :p: :D:

I cant wait for this game. I have not actually been this excited for a game to come out in a long time. I am hoping this game can suck me into its world and make developing your character satisfying like in morrowind. I hope there is a lot of fun places to explore and that the dungeons are well put together. If the A.I. works like it is supposed to the game will be very immersive.
I have not been playing many games lately. I hope oblivion will compell me to play into the morning.

I haven't really been playing many games lately either, then I made the mistake (?) of installing Morrowind last week. I stayed up way too late every night after I did the install.
So I'm with you, I'm really looking forward to it, and I really hope it pans out to be the fun and immersive game that MW still is.
