I don't always finish a game. Sometimes I get bored or sometimes I'm too tired to play and I realize it's been a while since I finished games I've started.

Sometimes. I always finish shooters, but I rarely finish RPG's as I keep starting over until I am really satisfied with my character(s).

The only RPG's I finished were Morrowind (well, the main quest and a bunch of subquests), the OC of Neverwinter Nights, Anachronox, Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger. I have many more I got pretty far in though...

I always try to finish a game, but sometimes I get bored with a game before I finish it, and then I usually just quit.

Every game I own except Unreal 1

I've finished every game except for Diablo II. The single-player just got too repetitious and uninteresting for me to play beyond Act II.

Otherwise, I usually have a crazy urge to always see a game through to the end. The only game I'd intentionally rushed through to the end was Temple of Elemental Evil. A little hex editing and I saw the end. Well, ONE of the endings, I should say.

EDIT: I forgot for while there. I have also never finished Dungeon Siege. Same reasons as D2.

Well if I like the game I will finish it, if the game sux than I dont lol, most of the time I always finish. I am having more fun playing multi player in Far Cry then finishing the game at the moment

I played serious sam 1 to the end *eyes up 50+ PC game boxes hanging on his walls from the last 2 years* yea that was about it. I finish most console games to the end though.

However, if you saw my last post at 3dg, I am playing SP of farcry and I realized I might like SP games after all so once I finish that I am going to try some more.

Well with so many games having a multiplayer component I know some people don't even play SP anymore. I almost always finish a game unless the game is truly horrible. The strange thing is I often come back to finish it months after I stopped playing it.

My attention almost always gets pulled away by other games. I finished Vandal Hearts, made it to the last chapter of Lunar Silver Star Story Complete, and now I'm on the last chapter of Fire Emblem. I forgot, I also finished Resident Evil 2.

I am playing Far Cry and I definitley want to finish it. It has the best gun battles of any game I have played. The weapons have a great feel to them.

I generally finish most of my games. But then I have a small game library. Some I play every scenario I can think of within the games programming.

If I don't consider a game a useless pile of junk, then I will finish it. :)

.

I try to finish every single game I buy and they are usually well worth it because I spend so much time filtering through the garbage before ever putting them on the list. Even then, I still run into a few buggy messes with no technical solutions to be found and get fed-up. It is rare but it happens.

Cheers, Terry

I haven't finished a game in a while now, but I have no problem with that, cause I play games until they stopped being fun, I feel no obligation to finish it, since that will make it a chore rather than fun.

I tend to finish most games I start, though some will haunt my harddrive for a long time. I am in a bit of a back-logged situation, I have a really large "currently playing" list right now. Splinter Cell, BF 1942, Syberia, Medieval: Total War, NWN: HotU, UT2k4, Call of Duty, and just today I picked up FarCry and preordered ToCA Race driver 2. I must not buy anymore games until I finish some of these. There are just so many great ones coming out in the next litle while I can't help myself!!

I would say about 80%of the games I own I have completed. Most recent ones have been splinter cell pandora tomorrow and Far Cry.Sometimes if
a game gets to frustrating I move on.Splinter Cell pushed me close. It got to
the point where it was not fun anymore which tends to be the reason we buy games,to have fun!

Mostly, it depends on the endgame for me.

Games with intelligence, strategy and a great story etc I'll finish (like Call of Duty). Stupid finishes with a reliance on a big boss I usually forget about.

I hate boss fights.

It also depends on how bad the game is. But I'll have decided that within the first hour.

I finished Knights of the Old Republic, and MTW several times. But most games I get bored of after a while, Morrowind I just couldn't face getting lost any more.

I just about always finish a game. There have been a few cases where I either don't like the game or just can't finish it without outside help. But the majority of the time I play it out till the end

I finish almost all FPS games cause they are really short these days.. The only one i didn't finish is SOFII.

RTS Games i almost always finish, even when i get stuck i play skirmish games and come back and try again till i complete it.

RPG's i dont usually finish cause they take so long and other games come out, i buy them and when i end up going back to the RPG id rather start over so i know whats going on and where im up to. Im not a big RPG fan, the main ones ive played are Diablo2 and Morrowind (both awesome games), got really far through both, just not quite to the end.

Other games like IL2 i dont think i'll ever finish, simply cause there are just SOOO many missions. Great game, play it alot.. but there are just to many missions to ever finish.

If a games good i'll finish it, if a games great i'll finish it multiple times, if a game is crap or just ok, or better games come out, then it'll get finished in the future (if at all).

And yeah I've completed every game i own about 10 times all accept DungeonKeeper, where i got to the last level and my save file corrupted and it took me so long and i just could NOT be f*cked to do it all again :p maybe i will do it again soon tho.

I have this urge to finish all of my games, otherwise it sits on the shelf mocking me. But I have probably finished only about 70% of my games. :p:

Poverty keeps me a dial-upper, so I've never played anything online; but I play the hell out of the single-player shooters, and the only one I've never finished was GTA III. The lack of a quick-save did me in on that one.

In fact, I play them all at least twice all the way through. I tend to play the first time on "normal" level, and then the second time around I play them on "easy" and really kick ass and take names. Heh, heh.

Maybe its pride, or maybe its because I pay good money for these games; but I can't imagine not finishing a game unless there is a really good reason. Then, again; I'm old, so I'm running out of "time to go back" and take care of loose ends, you know? Edward.

For getting a picture under your name (an avatar), go to your user cp (should be on the top of the page to the left) and there to Edit Avatar.

Criminy, I've got more games that need to be played than ones that I've ever finished! At first I only played PC games and even then it was slow starting. Now, thanks to being frugal (i.e. poor) and buying games at cheapass prices I've got over 170, mostly PC, and which I'll probably never get around to trying at all! If one looks interests me then I'll get it. Some games I've finished are Half-Life, Opposing Force and Blue Shift; Unreal; SOF1/2; NOLF1/2; Gunman Chronicles, Max Payne 1/2; and Gore, to name a few. I'm not sure how many I've never finished, but then it takes me forever to get through some sometimes, like American McGee's Alice and Baldur's Gate. About the only one I've reall

Last year I got an Xbox and have only 14 games for it, the only ones for it that I've finished being Silent Hill 2 and Hitman 2, and I borrowed Splinter Cell from someone at work, as I also did SC:PT, which isn't quite finished yet. I've tried a few other games that I haven't yet finished and others that haven't even been started yet.

The only game I've recently owned and haven't finished is Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Fun game though.

I usually try to finish them.

I used to finish games all the time a few years back, trouble is lately that I have bought too many so I start one game then get distracted by other games.
I should really finish the games I've got before buying new ones.

If i start a game i have to finish it. Or it will be on the shelf and i will always wonder how it ended, as soon as i finish them though, i sell them on amazon or ebay.
