Wouldn't a DOS box work though without needing to rebuy all the games?

Yes. But it's a pain in the ass for me to pull it out of the closet whenever I want to play the games. I was able to get some of them to work on XP, but not all. In some of the games there are also timing puzzles, which used processor counts to tally the time that has passed. With today's CPUs, the 2 minute timer is done is nanoseconds.

This is going to be good. I have been waiting for this to happen. I do not mean to date myself, but I remember playing these when they first came out and have been thinking how fun it will be to play them again. I can not wait.

I actually still have them in their original boxes. All except for Space Quest 2 and Kings Quest 3. :O)

I hope they release the whole series as it would not make much since to release them in part. I wonder if the strategy guides will follow or be part of the set. I have the old ones but it would be nice to have a new one. Of course it would be cheaper to download them.

Gotta pick this up. If anything so I can torture my young cousins, or any kids I may have in the future!
