I have the same problem but something tells me that they did this intentionally.

Believe it or not it doesn't look too bad on an LCD... I'm on an LG L1980Q Digital 19" LCD and it doesnt look too bad at all. Would be nicer looking obviously though which is a pretty big downer because I am thinking about buying this one when it comes out.

Just navigate (by boat or plane, it doesn't matter) to where you installed the game.

Eg For me....

D:\Yummy\Eidos\Pyro Studios\Commandos Strike Force Demo\config

Find the Config Folder, then the file named "JuegoVer" open it with notepad and edit the part that says...

.resolution ( 800.000000 600.000000 )

to what ever you want, for example....

.resolution ( 1280.000000 1024.000000 )

Will give you a (would you believe it?) resolution of 1280x1024.

Then just save the changes, load up the game and voila!

This game is still buggy as all hell and consolized. Lots of weird buggy movement and shallow gameplay. The game plays more like COD than a commandos game. The levels are really small also and stealth gameplay is a dumbed down joke. The game is fun in someways I guess and I like that enemies drop with 1 or two shots although you can take about 20. I will not be buying this game.

Yea, the Commando's went down the hill starting with Commandos 3. On a positive side, there is a game called Desperados 2 which is a pretty much a commandos clone which should be interesting :):

Yea, this game feels nothing like commandoes.

What the hell is wiht the respawning enemies? I take out 30 guys coming up that hill and more and more keep coming over and over....such shallow gameplay and AI it seems.

Whatever happened to Commandos that was so hard when you finally completed a lv you thought you actually had earned it....

IMO commandos 2 was the sweet spot, one of my favorite games.

yeah if you keep shooting they will stop spawning. Then you have to kill the subofficer in the house to trigger the next wave of enemies. this game is more scripted than HL.

I didn't really think the 1st Demo Level was all that bad... The AI is definitely Brain Dead (this was more apparent in the 2nd demo level) but over all not every game can be a top contender so if it's out at a fair price I would, maybe pick it up on release day. I am hoping they beef up the AI a lot more then what was in the 2nd level though. The feeling of sneaking up on anyone in the game just wasn’t there and felt very played down. I am hoping this was just a training type mission but that’s a little much to hope for I think. If not then I will wait for it to drop in price.

I can understand Fans of the original series being upset but then again you have to remember this is not the same genre this time around so it's definitely not going to be the same thing you liked before. I remember back when I was beta testing C&C Renegade and everybody that was into the RTS side of C&C blasted it. In fact I think 1/2 the Beta testers (and there were at least a few hundred of them) were not too happy with the idea of it being a 1st person shooter... Didn't bother me one bit because I knew it was a different sort of game they were going for even though I was deeply into RTS's at the time.
