file problem

i downloaded a file (theif 3 demo) from this site with download accelerator and when the download was completed i couldnt install the demo..the file was in Ms Dos or wtvr "format"(that white icon) i tried changing the name to "<name>.exe" ou "...ace or .rar or .zip" but it didnt work.. anyone knows how i can solve this problem?? :(:

It ought to be an exe file. I'll bet the file is corrupt - there's no reason why the file extension should have changed. Another possibility is that the file didn't finish downloading (you're using a download accelerator, so you can probably continue where you left off.) If all else fails, I would just re-download the file.

i dont think its corrupt because when u download with download accelarator u can see the file's icon( it showed the white icon) in the download's window so i think i have to change something in the file .. the problem is what.. :mad:

The problem is some download accelerator programs require you extract the file in their program space.

Think of it as a .zip file that only that accelerator program recognizes.
