Here's a fix for a known bug in Windows XP SP1 in which writing data to flash drives takes a loooong time. This bug will be fixed in the upcoming SP2 for Windows XP. Until then this should do the trick.

1. With the USB flash memory card attached to the computer, click
Start, Run.
2. Type devmgmnt.msc in the text box and click OK.
3. Double-click the Disk Drives entry.
4. Right-click the affected device.
5. Select Properties from the context menu.
6. Click the Policies tab.
7. Enable the "Optimize for quick removal" check box.
8. Click OK.

No this is for when using those flash pen usb storage type devices.
Those things are awesome BTW. Easily transfer up to 256(512 ?) meg of data between 2 pc's in a device the size of your finger. I have a 128 meg'er.

I also have a 128 megger but I find it to be filled on a regular basis. I keep a few differnt A/V programs on there, spybot, ad-aware, alternate browser installs. By the time I have all that stuff on there, it leaves 1/4 of the room for my personal stuff. I think I may upgrade to a 256 or 512mb.
