I've used Gamespy Arcade a lot in the past, but it's bloated piece of spyware. Still, I liked the functionality that it gave me. Anyone know any good alternatives?

I am a recovering lobby-rat from the AvPgold lobby. GS was ok ( but it sure wasn't Mplayer ) but then they started to heap all kinds of stuff upon me , that I, as an enduser didn't request ( which was cool ) but I couldn't 'opt-out' of for a lack of a better term. What really has bothered me lately is how certain publishers have married thier titles/franchises to GS, so that if you want some online action, off to GS you go.

I truely miss the days when a publisher bundled GS with the ability to find servers WITHOUT using GaySpy. Just about every title I have since the CoD series seems to be GS only. But not like I care to much, I live at the ILLUSIONSNIPERS server for BHD. Sometimes its good to just play a game and not have to 'wade' through the many personalities infesting the lobbies.

But I to am on the look out for alternatives to GS.

Here is an alternative I used to use a while back, but is not very user friendly, and the interface is dull and boring, but hey it does it's job. The All Seeing Eye from UDPSoft found here (http://www.udpsoft.com/).

The All-Seeing Eye... could it be that yahoo are the Illuminati? Nice program, though - very no frills (the way I like it). No sign yet of the evil yahoo spyware crap that must surely lurk beneath the surface...
