I wasn't sure which Forum to place this under, so I decided that for most of us, our Alcohol and Games combo is definately an "Entertainment" ritual.

I thought that this particular product was unique enough to warrent a little paragraph, and a link.

Absinthe has its commercial origins in 1797. For some time before, Mere Meriod had been privately creating her own version of absinthe. An entrepreneur named Major Henri Dubied bought the rights to her recipe and began marketing the bottled product in the Val-de-Travers and surrounding area. Major Dubied's daughter married a man named Henri-Louis Pernod. Mr. Pernod and the Dubied family then created a partnership company to produce, market and sell absinthe based on their own variation of the Henriod/Dubied/Pernod recipe. Thus begins the origins of the first product made by the famous Pernod label in Switzerland and France.

The Green Fairy Organization is located in the heart of Bohemia, in beautiful Prague, Czech Republic. Therefore, we have access to nearly every type of genuine Absinthe on the market. Here we offer only the best of what's available. We are constantly testing new products so you can be sure you are getting only the finest Absinthe.

Just curious, what, exactly, is absinthe? I've heard that term thrown around before but I really have no idea what kind of alcohol it is.

Absinthe is a kind of alcohol that (so I've heard) makes you see things. Now, I'm not talking about seen an ungly girl and thinking she's sexy, but something stranger. I haven't tryed it myself, but some friends say it's good.

PS: I think Absinthe is illegal in several countries, you might wanna check your own law.

I have drank it serveral times. Its very strong about 70% proof.I did not see anything when I drank it to be honest. Its like when you take mushrooms and
various other mind altering substances you are ment to see loads of stuff, bit
of a myth.Just gets you very drunk quickly. Its legal in England but other places have banned it.

As far as hallucinogens go, I don't think it's nearly as risky as acid or mushrooms. I have never tried either of these though.

Tried acid a couple of times.Did not do to much.Might of been conned I guess! All I saw were like traces like when someone moved was kinda freaky and everything seemed 'funny' when it wasnt.Mushrooms just made me feel uneasy. I was in Amsterdam at the time, but as they say when in Rome!(Do as the Romans do!) But that was a long time ago back in my university days. Now I work 9 to 5 i cant be bothered with any of that.I just take computer games and booze these days!

Well, I'd like to try acid but it's very rare around here. I've done some other stuff but I don't want to talk about that here, I don't want the thread to degenerate

Acid fries your brain. Alchohol is good.. REAL good. Although Absinthe really does mess you up. Expect to end up passing out and waking up with a nice headache.

Think i'll stick to my rum and coke. :)
