judging from screenshots, looks like its gonna suck just like the 2nd one. No matter how you buff up the graphics, its still the same ugly levels and ugly bricks, and stupid steam pipes combined with pseudo-medeival architecture.

Looks good. I think their choice for engines was good because it allows for shadows and stealth gameplay. I really hope this lives up to everyone's expectations.

I think it's best to wait a while once this comes out. Need to be sure it doesn't suffer from DE2's fate. Still hopeful of a great game.

Neither did I, by a long shot.

It was one of the best pure sequels to one of the most innovative new PC action games to come out in years. I soooooooo hope that Spector (and Eidos) live up to their solemn promise NOT to screw around with that winning gameplay formula beyond making logical, tech improvements to graphics, 3D directional sound, AI and physics along with new story extensions. The basic control system for climbing could also be improved a bit too and I have always felt that a coop MP Taffer Guild mode along with custom scenario / map editing tools in Thief 3 could be very cool if done right.
