9800 not working

I having a problem with my 9800 pro (256). Ive had it for about 1 week now with no problems. today after loading a game i tried to play the game but to my niotce the image had black triangular spots missing and well as alot of distrotion to all the 3d imaging. i ran a DirectX diagnostic tool. Direct x 7 works fine, but 8 and 9 do the funky distortion thing. is there a way of fixing this or is the card bad????

Sounds just like a driver issue. Get the latest catalyst drivers from ATI (http://ati.com/support/driver.html)

Alternitively, you can try the Omega drivers (http://www.omegacorner.com/index_ati.html)

Assuming you ARE NOT overclocking, right?
Like Dan said, try a new driver, if that doesn't fix it, RMA it.
