I have heard from many people that you have to pay xx.00 to set up a server in CS:Source. But then my friend just set one up for free. Could someone please reply with a link or instructions to guide to the right place?? Thank you all! :):

First off, I am pretty sure that using CAPITALS, italics, and bold will not contribute to getting this issue resolved.
Secondly, many companies out there will allow you to rent a server from them. They maintain it, and they are usually very well equipped to handle the game. However, you can also (as long as Valve's Source technology doesn't disallow it...) create a server out of any computer sitting around. Most developers release a dedicated server download or you should at least be able to get it off of your disc. This will allow you to make a server using your own computer's power and bandwidth. If you need the dedicated server files, try snooping in our HL2 section.
