Call of Duty: United Offense won't start

Hello Folks,

I have a big problem. After installing CoD:UO I can start the program but when I try to start a mission, afer 30 seconds I'm back in the main menu without anything happening. Another symptom is that any other buttons won't work either. I can't even quit the game. When I try to alter the video-settings, nothing happens.

I have a P4 2,8GHz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 5600 256MB, XP Pro.

Already installed the newest patch for CoD, CoD:UO, the graphics-driver, etc.

Please help anyone, I am very angry with activision :mad: I called the support 40(!) times today, that costs about $40,- here in europe, but there ist only a helplessdesk ...

Thanks for the hint, but we here in Austria have to phone the buddies in Germany because Austria is much to small for an own office. So there are no alternatives ...

Hope someone else has a tip for my main problem :(:
