pilot down problem!

Hi fellow gamers,
i just bought Pilot Down, Behind Enemy Lines, i am at a certain mission where i need to collect a fan belt to make a pump work, i have collected the fan belt from some truck in some yard that i needed a key for, i lift the fan belt and run directly the 200 metres back to where the pump is only to find that the belt is no longer with me, ive looked everywhere to see if i dropped it, all to no avail, anyone else with this problem? can anyone pleeeeeeeeeease help me out as its frustrating the life outa me!

I found your thread when i was looking for a solution on the web to the same problem. I came up with nothing, it's the third time I've gone through that level & executed it to perfection but still the fan belt is gone as soon as i pick it up. I goto the pump & i get the same response "It won't run, the fan belt is broken"
In my opinion this is clearly a bug in the game & a bloody annoying one at that! Surely someone has played this and found a way round?

I forgot to mention that it is the Xbox version i am playing

I did it!!! :D I'm pretty sure it's still a bug in the game but heres what i done.
I ran all the way to get the key fo the gate & only shot Soldiers i had to, once i got the key i ran to the gate, unlocked it & got the belt, then ran all the way back & fitted the belt (it came up Use Fan Belt or something similar) Once i done that i worked my way back & done all the extra stuff. Once the pits drained you gotta wander around & you'll find sand bags at the left hand side to remove & that'll get you on the other side. Make sure you have good energy & warmth because it's not over yet!!
