Hi there! I'm new to this forum but have enjoyed pc gaming forever, actually since my C64 many years ago...and yes it was fully loaded with a tape recorder!!! I'm always looking for good games to play and was wondering what you guys think were the most underrated/overlooked Action-Adventure PC games ever made for the PC.

All right, all right... I'll start the list. Here is IMO a few older titles I still play today that were overlooked and never got the attention they deserved
- System Shock 2
- Full Throttle
- Red Faction
- Clive Barker's Undying
- The Wheel of Time
- Drakan Order of the Flame

You're absolutely right about Red Faction, which was an original and interesting FPS experience. Spontaneously, I-War 2 and Freespace 2 definitely come to mind but that's almost a rule with space shooters.

Severance: Blade of Darkness
Die by the sword
Drakan: order of the flame (wish the sequel was for the pc :( )
Dark Earth (one of my personal favorites, very under-rated)

I don't think System Shock 2 is underrated. Overlooked yes, but definitely not underrated. Kind of like Planescape: Torment, Freespace 2 and Fallout 1 & 2. :)

Anyways, here's my list:

Freelancer
Anachronox
Icewind Dale series
Clive Barker's Undying
Divine Divinity

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Let me add the Thief series to this. Awesome games.

Drakan: order of the flame (wish the sequel was for the pc :( )

Yeah, Drakan was such an original game at the time it came out. Well-done interface, good combat system, excellent graphics, plenty of action, and riding Arok was just plain fun!!

Let me also add to the list:

- Vampire Bloodlines (superb action/RPG imo, of course, after patching and setting your virtual memory to 4GB !!)

- Requiem Avenging Angel

- Messiah

- Strife

Yes, the MDK series were excellent!!! Adding to the list : Giants Citizen Kabuto, a very funny game with plenty of action/puzzles and amazing graphics for its time. Also recently I went back and tried to finish Shadow Man, a great classic that was somehow overlooked imo.
