Is this forum only for people who play the PC games already out in the market or is it also for people who aspire towards developing new game concepts themselves?
Reason why I ask is, I have a proposition for a new 3D PC game that could work wonders... but lack the time and resources to do anything serious with it. :):

These are general gaming forums but feel free to discuss ideas and whatnot :):

Hi,
I have a book that's now out in print and if translated into a 3D PC game, I think it would make an excellent interstellar space adventure game. Imagine a giant interstellar ark, a self-contained colony starship launched from Earth on a multi-generational voyage to Alpha Centauri, the next nearest system to us in space. Now imagine the ark needs refuelling for life support and power along the immense, 50,000 year-long voyage, and that it can mine comets along the journey to provide this. Since the Sun and Alpha Centauri are theoretically deemed to have Oort clouds surrounding them, the starship 'Centauri Princess' in my story will be able to 'island hop' its way to bridge the interstellar gulf.
That's what my story concept is about in my novel, and since the ark ship has many technology components like artificial gravity (through spin around the central cylindrical axis), the ability to launch clusters of missiles from a bay at the front, along with magnetic scoop for plasma pickup, the ability to deploy mining robots onto icy planetoids, etc, I think it could be quite an adventurous game!
So... although I have long term high hopes for it to be turned into a movie, I still think it could be far cheaper to turn into an action adventure PC game in the meantime. I wanted to know if there are any forum contacts/connections with people who may be interested in developing such a game concept from my book?
There's a technical discussion (rather long!) about the kind of mission architecture that the starship is designed around, here:-

It's quite a unique and involved kind of mission, and a full dramatised visualisation of how it would work out in practice, is in my novel. Though, I will stress, the novel is written in very simple, non-technical language so that it will appeal to mainstream fantasy readers - not just technical folk.
