How about a count of who uses VOIP in BF2, who doesn't and if you do which you prefer.
I've tried using the built in voip and I can't seem to get any responses from anyone. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I join a squad and press B to talk, right? I can't hear myself talk in the game, but the mic test in the main menu seems to work fine. I don't hear anyone else talking in the game either.

I've been using it now that I play commander as much as possible, it's not the best quality but it works for me.

I don't seem to get a loud enough volume, so I've given up

I have used it often but only when ive found like minded gamers who actually like to play in a squad n take orders or for the whole squad to jump in a Blackhawk n do airborne carnage while whistling/humming 'Ride of the Valkyries'.
If only the VioP system had different settings.. fisrtly, being able to speak to fellow squad members (how it is primarily in the game).. also being able to speak to players within ur immediate range, useful in assaults with non squad members (ie 'jump in the tank/apache/blackhawk i need a gunner').. an emergency comm link for squads in the thick of the action n needing back up without calling the commander..
All in all a good game with various good/bad points but just need servers where there are age restrictions so u know ur playing with fun or serious players n eliminating childish little brats who try spoil the game.
Any ideas of bettering BF2 anyone, other than over rated half cooked special forces ideas, when the full game is not fully rid of bugs..?????

Oddly enough I use both VOip and ether TeamSpeak or Ventrillo all at the same time... lol

Teamspeak ftw :P
Rarely does a chat with a random who probably has the mentality of a 5 year old go well.
