ESET is only a few weeks away from releasing a new version of their engine. Which will incorporate an even deeper heuristic engine, and best of all, resident HTTP scanning! This new HTTP scanner will be incorporated into the existing IMON engine with zero performance change. But what it will do is scan incoming HTTP files in realtime, blocking any Trojan or viruses BEFORE they get snatched from the remote server – this includes malicious scripting as well.

This is super news overall for NOD32 users… The virus scanner so small, so powerful that wipes the floor with anything else on the market =]

hmmm, maybe I'll get this as a replacement for Norton. Right now I'm using AVG, because there is no way to get the liveupdates from Norton here in Puerto Rico (PR is non-existent in as a billing address).

ugh Norton is considered one of the worst AV programs out there =]

BTW, NOD32 is considered the best AV (they constantly update for new viruses sometimes several times a day, not to mention 26 times 100% in the wild award by Virus Bulletin) and now they're also working overtime on trojan definitions. I think Microsoft uses this in the office, not sure though maybe genx can confirm it =]

If you're a student or a no profit organization, you can get almost 50% discount on it =]
