Just about two months ago, I began a BF2 clan called the 82nd Airborne. I didn't have much except a modest plan to work with, but I received a very positive response. Now, we have our own 24-man server and a Teamspeak server to go with it, and close to 25 members. We use military structure and training methods.
What makes the clan unique is the squad structure. The clan itself is open to any mature gamer. If you want to play in matches or have practices, however, you need to be selected from the “Unassigned” pool by a squad leader. Getting into the clan maybe easy, but getting onto one of the three squads is harder. A squad leader (a lieutenant) will have to be impressed by your play and invite you himself, you cannot ask your way onto a squad. Right now we have three very capable squad leaders who have solid squads that are filling up. Two of our three squad leaders have military experience: 1LT Frosty is currently a staff sergeant in the 82nd Airborne, and 1LT Jaden is a former sergeant in the 1st Cavalry.
We are also a clan that is built around the bond between players, so we strongly encourage active forum participation and activity through XFire messenger.
If you are interested, please contact me at the82ndabnclan@yahoo.com and leave me your name, age, location, clan experience, and BF2 kits played. I will be more than happy to get back to you on any questions you may have.
Aside from a home server, Teamspeak server, forums, and website, each member also has his/her own official clan sig that displays entry date, rank, medals, and unit, and is constantly updated.
I hope you will give us a shot.
Over and out,
