Howdy gang,
For a long, long time my main gaming sessions occurred on Friday nights. It was something I looked forward to at the end of a work week. For those that aren’t familiar I work with computers for a living. So a lot of time during the weeknights and even on weekends I wasn’t too interested in sitting at my desk at home after doing that all day at work. But for some reason I always looked forward to Friday night gaming. I would crack open a few brewski’s and play a game until it was time to hit the sack. I could stay up late (around midnight for me ) and sleep late in the morning. (A necessity when brewski is involved) A lot of you younger folks probably think I’m nuts playing video games on Friday nights when I could be out cruising the town or chasing women in bars or something. Well, I’ve been there and done that. I’ve sowed my wild oats years ago and that doesn’t interest me anymore. So for me it has been Friday night gaming for a number of years…..with an occasional outing as I saw a need to socialize at times.

Alas times have changed and it brings me great sadness to say that it looks like my Friday night gaming is a thing of the past. With the advent of a new found girlfriend I unfortunately have other priorities on Friday nights. Actually my personal priority is to still game Friday nights. But the boss seems to think otherwise. If I expect to keep a girlfriend I must forego Friday night gaming….for now. I’ve actually given it serious consideration whether to give up my Friday gaming for a girl or not.

The good news is that Friday night gaming will now move to Saturday night. The GF works weekends every third week. So my opportunity has presented itself. Saturday night gaming is on!…..uh, for now. Unfortunately it may only come every three weeks, but at least I can still have my time….until I get the new GF broke in. I’m actually playing games on weeknights again sometimes. Missing out on Friday gaming for a while has basically forced me into some weeknight routines. Unfortunately I can’t stay up late gaming and have to keep an eye on the clock. And no alcohol either on weeknights. Too old for that nowadays. The old body doesn’t respond like it used to.

So Saturday night I will be enjoying a major gaming session of Far Cry, a few beverages and some sandalwood incense burning. I’m into the swamp level which means only a few levels left to go. I want to get in a little classic BF1942 action also so I may not finish Far Cry. Besides that it will be sorely needed yard work and laundry detail since I’m playing bachelor this weekend.

Enjoy your weekend gang. Party on!

hehe, I used to do the same thing, Mr. N. Now it's not too often I find time on a Friday night to game. But I usually always have Saturday as she likes to spend some time with her family each weekend as well; they're very close. That doesn't bother me at all, because it means I get some alone time each weekend, too!

We've switched it up this week, though. I wanted to spend some time with my dad tonight, so we're going out tomorrow. Planning to go see Troy if we can, and dinner afterwards. We're going to try for a matinee because we figure that's our best chance of getting in, seeing as most new movies lately have been drivel. This one actually looks really good!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Not much for me this weekend. My daughter going to my Mom's tonight for some alone time for the wife and I. We're going to see Troy tonight so she can drool over Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, and I'll just enjoy the film (I love these types of movies). Throw in a little gaming on UT2K4, some Far Cry maybe, and if I can get to the TV some Crimson Skies.

I'll also be watching some hockey this weekend.

Have a great weekend everybody! Not much going on here this weekend either, some studying, some gaming and some drooling over all those E3 movies. :D:

Since my fiancee is visiting me right now and we're together pretty much 24/7 I'm getting exactly zero gaming time in. I try to sneak in the 10min. fix while she's in the shower (if we don't shower together), but other than that I'm not doing any computer gaming these days. It's all right, I'm not really complaining. I do miss my gaming sessions a little bit though.

As for the weekend, we're going to check out the new movie "Troy" tonight, have a few drinks with friends afterwards and see what happens from there.

Hope you all have a great Friday night and a wonderful weekend.

I'll be chillin this weekend as usually. Have planned out some gaming time for RalliSport Challenge 2 on my xbox. That PS2 combo for 149 looks really good and I'm thinking of somehow sneaking this one in past my g/f and pretend I owned this for a long time now.

Incidentally, this is the first weekend in like a month where I wont have to work like 35 hours. Unfortunately, I have to use that time to study for exams. Oh well.
