Our server is running on retail 1.0 because of the EA screwup. if you have the patch installed, you have to uninstall and reinstall the game. Otherwise you wont be able to log into our server.

I had to reinstall the game twice after the patch. It would simply crash at loading collisions. Once I patched before runnign the game at all off of a fresh install, it has been fine. I hear some people are having problems if they don't install to the default directory, which would be me.

The server is nice and fast. I'll be back on later! :thumbup:

I've had problems since the patch also, I hardly had connection problems before the patch now it's happens all the time.

My ping has doubled since the patch. I used to ping around teens and twenties, now its in the 40's and 50's

When I am in the server browser, it shows incredibly high pings. The lowest are around 150ms, but most hit around 300-350ms ping. However, when I join the game and get playing, I'll only be around 30-50ms. I have just learned not to trust the server browser ping ratings when looking for a game.

Oh well, I started my own (using a competitor's service - shhhh). It'll only be up on weekends for a few hours or when the 3DG one isnt up.

Hey Omega. The server is up. Make sure you're patched up to 1.1 (yes, the patch has been kinda recalled but our server is using it and waiting for a hotfix)

Well I guess I'm late to the party. I just installed BF2 last night and I think I'm gonna like this game.

A couple of things before I'm ready to go. I want to go out and get a headset which I haven't done yet. Last night I played a couple maps in single player mode so I can start to familiarize myself with the game maps and changes in the keyboard commands. I haven't created an online account yet, but will be doing that soon. Hopefully the server is up and running still. I'll be checking it out soon.
