Anyone else taking notice to the tasty lineup of upcoming games for the Gamecube?
In the more mature action department, we've got Resident Evil 4 and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, both of which look visually stunning. Plus, there's the new Legend of Zelda title, and this time around, the developers have gone with a more realistic style than the cel-shaded cartoonish appearance of Wind Waker. The trailer for this new Zelda game is pretty amazing. And oh yes, how could I forget Killer 7, an interesting-looking premise with graphics just oozing with style. The FPS shooter Geist looks like it could be good, too.
Then, finally, it looks like we've got a couple of more traditional style RPG's coming up: Tales of Symphonia and Baten Kaitos. Both look like good, solid RPGs. And then there's Paper Mario 2, which should be fun. I enjoyed the first Paper Mario for its simple, yet fun, play mechanics, and despite the kiddish appearance, it has an impressive visual style.
Plus, there's Pikman 2, a Viewtiful Joe sequel, a proper Star Fox sequel, and a 3D version of Advance Wars coming out. Not to mention the multi-platform titles on the horizon: Prince of Persia 2, Starcraft Ghost, and GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.
With all these promising titles to look forward to, I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot more usage out of my Gamecube.
