You downloading it from here, or the default, "crappy" torrent client that automatically starts when you sign in to WoW?

I would highly recommend you download it from here first, then apply the patch, then sign-in. Even though I have torrents figured out to a tee now, the Blizzard client is a piece of crap and should be avoided at all costs.

Here's the downloads, just select your/the latest patch and you're good to go:

EDIT: Sounds like you're on dial-up from your post. Its going to be a long download regardless of method. I would recommend using a download manager, but I haven't used one in so long now, I don't really know of any I could recommend. Maybe someone else can do that.

Yeah, Blizzard's client sucks major ass. I always d/l mine here, too.

As for a client, I used to use Download Accelerator Pro, which has an accelerator built in, plus has the resume functions. I don't know if it's still around or not, or if it's still any good. I'll check later, after I'm home from work.

Absolutely....if you are disconnecting due to your dial-up simply timing out or getting knocked off-line. It's worth it believe me to get a d/l manager if you have dial-up.

I didn't even know you could play WoW with dial-up?

Gamespot's service includes a d/l manager client in their Files section that will help also, I use it from time to time.

Or try the 3DGamers link above with no manager, and you should be able to complete it once it starts unless you are getting knocked off-line for other reasons.

If you use Netscape Navigator often, or any, try getting Netscape SmartDownload. You can search for this download at google.com

back in the day, when I used to use Dial-up, I used GetRight download manager. It was pretty good =]
