Hey all Guild Wars-ers!

3D Gamers has started up a guild for you to have fun in. Due to the system of naming I chose "Three Dee Gamers" with the tag "TDG" for our guild.

This thread will be used to post any new info about the guild or anything guild wars related.

If you wish to join the Guild post it here or talk to Miss Apocrypha/Lady Apocrypha in game.

I REALLY don't like how my ranger turned out so I will be redoing her tonight as ranger/monk or ranger/necro. I'm thinking about going half monk because we don't have a monk yet to my knowledge.

If anyone can be on tonight (post-searing) so I can give them my stuff and then get it back when I finish pre-searing it'd be nice.

I'm going there now. Should be there for awhile. How much stuff do you have?

I do not have much room in my bag. They need to let you carry more items!

Rick, you're not post-searing yet, you'll know when it happens.

I have 19 items for whoever does it to hold, 3 are the belt and 2 bags which give you 15 spaces and then don't take up any so it's only 1 spot if you don't have the bags and belt yet.

Use the storage people. Well worth it.

How much storage does it give exactly? and I saw there were 2 different people that offered it, what is the difference?

where are they at?

One-Winged Angel

Cloudw4lker: There's two people, but it's one service. It offers 20 inventory slots that can be accessed at any city where there's a storage person at, which is most of them. You put something in at Ascalon City, you can take it out in Yak's Bend. Pretty convenient, especially for only 50g.

I think there's just two people there to keep from one person being surrounded :p:

RangerRick: After the Searing, go up the hill to the left of the entrance in Ascalon City.

I don't think it's offered pre-Searing; you can look around, but I think all that you can find is merchants, a weaponsmith, and a guild registrar.

If anybody needs some crafting stuff and and good weapons for post-Searing, hit me up. I'll give you an inter-Guild discount :p: The name's Seth Oriath if you're interest.

Tip for Rangers (Major profession): don't give away your Melandru's Stalker when you get to Old Ascalon! There's a quest that is basically you offering up your Melandru's Stalker. If you don't have one, it's pretty hard to find another. I know where you can find it, though, if you need it. But save the trouble; don't give it away until after that quest.

If you buy an account with the storage people you can use it across your account, just buy it for another character and it will have the same items. Thanks to this I'm remaking my ranger now.

I'm saving up money for a guild cape, I almost have enough now but it would leave me bankrupt.

If no one suggests anything for a cape I'll just make whatever looks coolest at the time.

Give some choices on the design, please.
How much Gold do you have? I have 1500 gold at the moment. I have items I can sell for another 100 gold.

How much is a cape?

Cloudw4lker

A cape is 2000 gold and I have about 1800.

As for choices on guild cape, there are a lot (I've looked at it).

Here are all the possible guild emblems: http://www.guildwars.com/gallery/emblems/default.html

The emblems can be almost any of the basic 16 colours turned darker or birghter. The cape itself has the same colour range and there are a few less designs for it, differing by one looking old and ragged to others being very nice a new.

You can also have a detail which goes behind everything with the same colour options again along with slightly changing the shape of the cape (batman style or whatever you want).

Try looking at other peoples capes for an idea, walk around in town for a while.

If you get an idea you really like post a screenshot(s) and I'll copy it as best I can.

RangerRick

Hey CW,

The emblem I like as my #1 choice is a dragon inside a circle, which is not on the web page, but if you go to the emblemer, it's on the last page. It looks gook in a darker red, on a darker blue background, with a lighter gold or yellow squigly symbol underneath the emblem. I thought it looked classy!

I have to set things up to post screenshots one of these days!

Is there some way to transfer money to you in the game? I'd like to contribute half for the cape. If we met up in the game, could I drop gold to the ground, and then you pick it up?
I think I'll run a test. No, would not let you do it. THe next time we get together and go adventuring, I can drop any items I pick up when we go to sell them, and then you could pick then up and sell the items. I think that would work. It'll help you recoup your loss somewhat. I have some items now that I could give to you that totals over 100 gold.

When you click on someone's name at the top there is a little trade button, sorta like Diablo 2's trade system.

Thanks for contributing half, I'm actually in game now if you want to try to get a hold of me.

There's a detail pattern I found that looked pretty good. Change the color to dark yellow, and keep changing until you get a sun burst coming from the top of the cape.

I just found out you can change the shape of the cape also, by using the outer arrows by 'pattern'.

Sunburst looks pretty good, darkened up the red a bit I think (accidently randomized).

We now have a cape!

Increased drops of Celestial Sigils in the Hall of Heroes. That one's good for us, maybe we can get a guild hall, they're very expensive but I have 14k already and am starting my 3 other characters (1 past searing already).

Mo/Me Lady Apocrypha (redid from a Me/something)
E/Mo Mistress Apocrypha (the one past searing)
W/N Maiden Apocrypha (yes I like the name Apocrypha)

Some quests might be a bit bugged, but normally no, I don't have to.

I pick up every item and sell it, especially dyes. Buy dyes from people if you already have the same type and know it sells for more at a merchant.

Hehehe. (http://www.gamespy.com/articles/621/621814p1.html)

I'm still playing GW a lot. The character I play the most right now is a female W/R named Janae Karrington. If you need help doing quests or missions, just whisper me. :)

Also, here's a few very nice links:

World Map (http://www.guild-hall.net/map/imap.swf)

Elite Skills Locations (http://www.xennon.co.uk/eliteskills/)

EDIT: Forgot to add, I'm at the Ring of Fire right now, the last region in the game.

Woot! Just beat the last mission. The final boss was surprisingly easy, but getting to him was insanely hard. Fortunately the party I was in was awesome. We even managed to do the bonus. :)

Now, to do all the missions and quests I skipped...

Hey everybody,

Just checking in to see how your guild's doing. Last time I asked, y'all had a total of 3 people :p:

Don't take this bad or anything, but I have a proposition if y'all are still very small. Us over at the Adrenaline Vault have been discussing how to build our members up; we have a lot of members, but only a very small percentage that are on at any given time. Plus, it's never large enough to do the higher-up stuff, like the Hall of Heroes, the Underworld, and the Fissure of Woe. We'd like to do something about this, and I'm pretty sure you've guess what I'm getting at. A merger.

I'm just going to make this a friendly offer, and nothing more. We need a few good men (and women, if the case may be), and me and all of the officers in our guild thought it would be a good idea to at least ask.

If it makes it any more tempting, we have a guild hall now :p:

Anyway, just a thought. No matter what you think, hit me up in-game (Seth Oriath). Maybe we can at least get our guilds together to do some questing, even if we don't join together.

Hmm, if I ever start playing this game more than the "casual" level I am now, I'll be sure to look you up OWA. Unfortunately, my the amount of time that I actually play this game now I would be a poor guild member for any guild (which is also the reason why I didn't look you guys up either CW and Ranger).

In all seriousness, CW and RangerRick, just a bit of advice, discuss this thoroughly, hehe.

:p:

I noticed the WoW Guild situation, and believe it or not, it does sound rather similar, even though we haven't been around near as long.

The thing with GW, is that a good bit of the game, especially after you finish the main storyline, is dedicated to teams and guild. The Tomb of Premieval Kings (and resulting Hall of Heroes), Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Guild vs. Guild, all are primarily focused on the team that you have in your guild. Sure, you can take henchies on all of those, but they're absolutely night and day different than henchies that you'd normally have in missions and such. They're severely underpowered, and for a reason: to promote actual player teamwork.

And that's where we're at today. We need new members, fresh blood so to speak, and I figured this was a good option for both of us. But since I don't know your situation, I won't try to badger you into joining us. Like I said, we don't even have to go through an actual merger of guilds, if you want that option; I guess you could say that we could do an alliance of guilds.

Although, I do know some people that would've like to played y'all in a guild vs. guild battle :p:

Cloudw4lker
June 8th, 2005, 06:38 pm
I'm good with it if Rick is.(you know, as long as I get officer (just kidding, but you can if you want)) We have 4 members, one from this forum who hasn't been on for 3 or 4 weeks, me, Rick and a newb I picked up.

I don't see why not, I'm in it to have fun, possibly with a guild, not to promote 3dg and pretend there are no other options (sounds like this 'life' thing to me).

Let me know where you stand Rick.

RangerRick
June 8th, 2005, 06:53 pm
It works for me. There are times when having real people within your quest group will make all the difference in the world. Picking the game NPCs for the quests only goes so far. Stupid AI!

OWA, give us the full scoop!

One-Winged Angel
June 8th, 2005, 09:14 pm
Hehe, hey, whatever you guys want. I'm trying to cater to y'all :):

The way I had thought of doing this was the same way that they seem to be talking about in the WoW thread: you come into our guild, and I'll make officers of everyone that was previously officers in your old guild, including the guild leader (unless you or anyone else choose not to).

Of course, you probably realize that the guild name and tag will be lost when the last member (which will always be the leader) leaves the guild. Just letting you know the consequences.

I'll need you to list the names of the members that aren't listed on this thread (I already have cloudw4lker and Rick's name).

There's two ways that you can go about disbanding the guild (which will have to be done first before I can invite people): either have the leader kick all of the members from the guild then leave himself, or have everyone individually leave (by pressing G, clicking beside your name, and selecting "Leave my guild." It's probably quicker just to kick everybody :p:

After that, I'll invite all of you in, and promote those that need promoting.

Let me know if you have any questions or anything. I'm on right now, and probably will be for the rest of the night. And let me be the first to thank you for doing this. We all do. And I'm sure we'll all get along just fine. :):

Cloudw4lker
June 8th, 2005, 10:03 pm
About to kick! I'll get the names written down first.

Chuck Fireeater is the other person. The other guy must have left for whatever reason, I hate people that just guild hop.

(there goes 4k for making the guild and buying the cape :p:)
