Having played Deus Ex (Deus Ex 2 wasnt an improvement on the original) a long time ago n regard it as one of the best games ive ever played, im on the look out for a decent game in a similar vein. Im not interested in point n click RPGs or solely FPS, just a nice blend of both. Im presently playing Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. While it is very similar to Deus Ex in many ways, the combat element is a bit crap, very hit n missy. Can anyone highlight me a decent game??

Many thanks

I really enjoyed Arx Fatalis...

I like the spell casting system in Arx Fatalis... I don't think any other game has it like this so it makes the game very unique. (basically you can use you Avatars Hand/Arm to draw out a symbol in order to cast). The demo really doesn't touch on the game very much which doesnt say much for it... They should have released a better/expansive part of the game or anything past the small beginning the demo shows you.

I'm pretty sure you can find it for around $10 USD now. Well, If you can actually find it ;)

You probably already played this, but Morrowind is a FPS/RPG. It's very different from Deus Ex and Vampire, but if you enjoy really good RPG games, this is definitely for you. Excellent game, and well worth checking out if you haven't done so already. And with all the expansions and user-created content, it'll keep you busy for months.

Morrowind is ace,but combat can be quite hit and miss aswell. You could try Snowblind, its ment to be good, and kind of like Deus Ex.
