Got a problem i've had with a few games/demos i've downloaded in the past.

Game starts to load and then my monitor 'out of range's.. Yet this time i've paid for the game, yet can't play it

Anyone give me any ideas or tips i can get Vampire.. to work, my mate has sorted things in the past n shown me wot to do but i've forgotten (been a long time since i've had to mess on) n i'm in no mans land at the present wanting to play vampire!!!!

Any help greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like a refresh rate or resolution setting problem? Make sure your monitor's desktop refresh rate settings and Vampire's in-game refresh rate are the same.

Also make sure you've chosen an in-game resolution in the Video options that match what your monitor can handle. 1024X768 is the most common.

Of course more details on your system would be helpful - what kind of video card do you have? Do you know?

The quickest way around this would be to click on Start/Run and type dxdiag and then click on ok. After dxdiag has loaded, click on the "More Help" tab and then click on the Override button. In the "Override Value" Box, Put a number here that your monitor accepts... For my monitor it works at a refresh rate of 100 when in 1024x768 (on my other com with an lcd i would set this value to 82 @ 1280x1024 so this pretty much depends on what you have). The lower my Resolution is the higher my refresh rate will go.

A little more info abotu your hardware... IE: Monitor and Video card

Tell me if u need any more info about my hardware and i'll post em.

I had looked the Nvidia settings to override application settings but couldnt find it in the latest version, as override was an option in previous versions.

Will have a look into the dxdiag override tho.

Supatroopa

I cant change any settings in the Video options in the game as every time ive tried to load the game the monitor blanks, out of ranges n switches off.
