Rome tw

Hi all.

This is my first post :blush: Just want to say the site is very cool :thumbup:

Now Ill get to the point. I just upgraded my PC (long over due),now it's so fast I had to bolt it to the floor!!!! :lol: I have alway's been a fan of the Total war games,Shogun is my top game of all time,Medeval (spl?) was also great,but I prefared Shogun.I have just bought Rome,it's ace but I was wondering how can you play as one of the non-rome faction's.I heard you have to complet the game with a Rome faction before the others are unlocked.

Any ideas???

Yep, you either have to beat the game with one of the 3 roman factions OR edit the text file in that thread Circlebreaker mentioned.

Now I'm faced with a dileima (spl?).Do I do the pure gamer thing,and play it through with the Roman's first or do I "cheat" and get all the goodies straight away!!!

Is it worth playing through as rome first???

I don't know that I would call editing a text file to unlock campaigns "cheating". I think it all depends on how patient a person you are. I think I would at least try to play it the way the developers intended first.

for starters, Rome is the easiest faction to play with. So if you're editing the text file and want to play other nation, you make it harder on yourself =P

Yea,I decided to play it with Sicpio.It such a class game.I was playing last night,at about 10.30,I said to myself I had better have a wash and get ready for bed.However I decided to do the 10 more mins thing,at 1:30 I at last crawled off to bed (I just had to beat them Gaul's)

i have it but its just not the same still fun though but it didnt keep me addicted nearly as much as rome.

Yep, only way to really make that game fun is to edit some text files and make it unlimited amount of troops. You'll need a kick ass system though
