New facts, rather (admittedly) poorly translated (but better than I can do in German) by a German / German pc mag (pc action) - from WorldOfGothic.com:

- deserts, forests, snowy terrain
- certain monsters at these locations
- animals hunt together and seek for food
- the orc occupied many towns, u can liberate them together with teh population - resistance^^
- about 20 "towns"
- what u do effect the meaning of the population to you
- there r no chapters
- there a diffrent storylines
- u will meet old friends
- u can pay persons to fight with u
- u can trade with everyone
- there r 6 races
- u join a guild later
- there r 6 diffrent jobs (gladiator etc)
- there r fights in a arena
- there r shields
- there r staffs for mages
- u can configure the controls
- the whole world is designed unique (not only the same elements)
- ragdoll effect
- real tiem lightening effects
- u will know more about the orcs (culture/aims)
- there is no magic anymore in the world
- u start as an experiend fighter
- there r 3 kinds of magic
- u can't get sceletons everywehre (necro)

- no mp modi

Agreed!

Nice to see some stiff competition in the RPG genre. Bottom line is... we all win!! :shades:

I just hope they actually make an user interface this time thats somewhat streamlined... I mean, the 1 and 2 UI was craptacular and took some time getting used to it.

I'm sure that I'm missing out, but I've tried both Gothic 1 and 2 and could never get used to the interface. At least allow me to pick my own keys for movement. Admittedly it was a demo of each game that I tried.

Those screens do look nice, though.
