System:
Windows XP
130 gb
2.4 pentium 4
768 ram
128mb radeon
When I click refresh list to find and join internet games, it gets hung up on "waiting for response to master server"
I did have this game on my computer before and didn't have this problem, uninstalled it and decided to reinstall at a later time, and now having problems. Any help would be appreciated.

have you got windows service pack 2?
it may be that the firewall that came with that update might still be on aswell as your paid for one a.k.a norton or mccafee
or it may not be going through your firewall at all therefore you have to manually put it in (i had to with norton if i remember correctly)
i had a problem where i could boot the game and choose multiplayer but in the background (on desktop) it was asking me to permit the connection but i had no idea because it didnt go back to desktop to show me so it locked up and actually forced me to hard reset
very annoying.

I set my norton and sp2 firewalls to accept cod, i even disabled both and then tried... same results

I had this problem on Tuesday night but was fine again on Wednesday. I didn't touch it and only have XP firewall. Have you tried it since it first happened it might be working again...

Yeah, maybe the Master Server was simply down when you tried it.

Might be a server thing... Mine does this randomly,,, I just quit the game, restart,, and it refreshes the available games fine...

Use gamespy or similar software for multiplay and you never have to worry about the master server again.
