I am poor these days, and it takes a lot for me to shell out $50 on a new game. I hate to spend that much and be disappointed as has happened before.
So I hit the pre-owned rack today at EB and picked up Unreal 2 with the XMP MP pack for $6 with tax. Not too bad, I thought the demo was pretty enjoyable though I heard that the game wasn't so good off. At $6, I can pay to feel disappointed.
With all of the crap going on in my life right now, I just want to pop out the lights, turn on the headphones and blast some blue-blooded aliens away.
Any of you guys get any good bargain grabs lately?

I just got Giants for $6 and it is a real riot! Graphics are a little dated but it is still fun and is very funny.

All I have to say is that I got owned!
I opened up the box to install, and BAM! no discs at all! The stupid cardboard support and a manual. What a hoot that's going to be!
I am going back to EB tomorrow and getting it back in. I am friends with one of the fellas that works there, so I probably won't get a hassle. This new girl they have working there is not the brightest crayon in the box. First off, she couldn't even tell me a simple fact about the game (I asked if the XMP version included the original SP game, and of course, she had no idea). She doesn't even know how much they sell XBox's for in the store! Bah!
Bad night, long day, I'm going to bed. Peace out.

Hate EB and they did that same thing to me with Neverwinter Nights. Took it back with no problem (about the only good thing I can say about them).

Ha! I can easily see this may turn into an EB rant post here.
A few weeks back, I bought the Platinum Pack Soldier of Fortune game for like, $7.99. When I got home to install it, they gave me SOF2. So, I thought, well, I'll load it up, anyway, just for fits and shiggles, right? But, they provided me with a sloppily hand-written game code, that I had to enter several times(but to no avail) before I decided to take it back. When I got back to EB, I told them they gave me the wrong game AND that the code installation game code was undecipherable. So, what happens when they look for the original disk that was supposed to be SOF1:Platinum Pack? They couldn't find it!

Wait, that means that they were stupid enough to accept a game without the cds in it.
I've played Unreal 2 and I was actually thinking about it this morning because I remembered the ending but forgot what game it was for. I liked it overall but didn't play XMP.

HA!I got one better. I ordered from gamestop. R.A.D. for the PS2 and I got the game but not in a case. Oh well at least I got the game, right!? well I pop it in and what is the first thing to greet me??? A notice that game play may change... what the???? pop the disc out and it says "demo" "not for resale" I call them and the lady appologized and said they would send me out another one priority. GOOD! A wek goes by and no game so I call them and they said "we don't have any in stock. we will send you one as soon as it comes in but it could be a week or months."
Stay away from gamestop.
