Warner Home Video has announced two-disc special edition of The Lost Boys, the cult '80s teen vampire film featuring Kiefer Sutherland, Jason Patric and Corey Haim, due on August 10 for $19.95.

The DVD will get a new transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, plus the following bonus materials:


Commentary by director Joel Schumacher

The Lost Boys: A Retrospective, with Joel Schumacher, Richard Donner, Keifer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Corey Haim, Jamison Newlander, Greg Cannom, Edward Herrmann and Michael Chapman.

Wow - I may have to get this. I loved this movie - but then again I will pretty much watch any vampire movie. Especially when it features vampires with mullets.

Ha - wow.

Observant I am not.

I actually have this movie - and I'm a bit afraid to check and see what version it is. At this point, I'm fairly certain that I actually already own the special edition and am just completely unaware of the contents of my world.

Ah well, I still love vampire movies. Except Underworld 2. It sucked hard.
