The creature in the second pic looks a little blocky.

I hope they really do a better job with their character models this time around compared to MW. The environments in Oblivion look top notch so it would be a shame not to have character models that match the quality of the environments.

Judging from the other screens with characters in them, I don't think blocky or poorly modeled characters is going to be a problem at all - if that monster in the new one is the worst then I'd be more than happy (it doesn't look that bad).

But yeah my biggest complaint regarding MW aside from the severe balance and combat issues were the unbelieveably poor character models - luckily plug-ins fixed those quite nicely texture-wise, but watching my character run around with what looks like a stick up his rear was painful to watch. This guy's supposed to be some big Nerevarine almighty hero and he runs around like the hunchbank of Notre Dame and looks like he's 90 pounds soaking wet - really, really annoying part of that great game.
