good evening all
i just managed to pick up a dvd version of this old classic in me local charity shop for two pound's :)

the thing is though my memory chip on my monitor has lost its self and wont store diffrent resolutions i.e 800x600, i've managed to get it to store 1024x768 but when trying to show diffrent resolutions it goes into a small screen mode and is very bright thus forcing me to mess around with the width and whatnot to display it properly again :(

is there anyway to get balders gate to run at 1024x768 at all?
or am i stuck with a small and rather bright 800x600 resolution because thats all i can seem get out of this game

any help would be great as i've never played this version of balders gate before and really want to see what the fuss was all about :):

I'm pretty sure BG1 is locked at that particular resolution. However, there's a mod called BG1 TuTu that lets you play the whole game (and the expansion) using the BG2 interface. That includes BG2's 1024x768 resolution. I heard the mod was slightly buggy though, and I wouldn't recommend it if it's your first time through the game.

Why the creators chose to name it TuTu, of all things, is beyond me. If I ever made a mod, I wouldn't name it after part of a ballerina outfit, acronym or not. This has nothing to do with your question, but what the hell.

I'd provide a link to the mod, but it's late and I'm tired and lazy. You should be able to find it easily on Google. :):

Actually, I'm not tired at all. I guess I'm just very lazy then.
