All,

My daughter and I like to play video games. But usually, I'm the one playing while she watches. She gets easily frustrated and doesn't like losing. So, I'm figuring working together as co-op would work better. I can bolster her abilities and get her some confidence.

But, I'm not sure what co-op games are available on PS2 or GC. It would have to be not super difficult and not too violent or scary. Now, my daughter seems to handle the level of Half Life 2 and is not to scared. So, any games like this?

Timesplitters 2 was a good PS2 (maybe GC) game that is an easy and fun single-player co-op.

Agree TS2.

For the GC I would recommend a fun family game of Donkey Konga. Even though not FPS it is still a great game.

umm, well, the lord of the rings games are co-op, but they arent first person shooter, its actually third person and you run around mindlessly hacking at orcs and monsters... i think if she likes lord of the rings and if you do too, then it would be fun, rent it tho, dont buy it until you are sure you wanna play the whole thing

also for ps2 there are those forgotten realms RPG games which are fun to play together.. and so is hunter: the reconing (hunter can be played on GC too, up to 4 players, but i'd just stick with 2, cuz it gets hard to play with 3-4)
