All I get from those links is a "Sorry... web site no longer exists" message from Lycos.

Could this be the long, sinister arm of the (copyright) law according to Lucas at work?

Probably so. The latest issues of EGM and CGW (print mags) have screenshots and details on the game.

lycos isn't exactly a reliable service, still 50mb free is great.

I noticed a bulleted feature on the above linked web page that says the game will get additional content via Xbox Live but makes no mention of updates for the PC version. Any idea what sort of additional content this MS exclusive service normally includes and why it would not also be offered to PC gamers to download - either for free or for a small charge?

I'm not sure about the content for KOTOR II, but in the pc version of KOTOR there was some extra content (a small space station where you could buy some extra stuff and that had a small sidequest related with it) that the xbox version didn't have. I guess it would be the same sort of thing for KOTOR II, bonus stuff that's included right away for the pc version and offered later to the xbox as a download.

The "extra" PC stuff was made available recently as an XBL download. :) Far too late for my liking (had already finished the game, twice). But it was still there :)

Just as long as we PC diehards get the same opportunity to play all the game content - right out of the box or not - I'll be happy.
