Hey
Anyone know the exact launch date of The Sims 2 in the U.K and U.S.A?
Wasn't planning to buy any more Sims games, then I saw this, and I thought: WOW! :D:

According to GameSpy, it's set for June 30, 2004 in the US.
GameSpot has the US release set for September 5, 2004.
Apparently word is that the official FAQ states the release date as the "second half of 2004", which could be anywhere from July 1st to December 31st.
Welcome to our message board !! :D:

is sims good?
That depends entirely on what you want in a game.
But The Sims is the single best selling PC game (along with all its many EPs) in history and many people, young and old do enjoy it.
The sequel will be in full 3D and who knows if it will actually be as "good" or as popular as the original landmark title.
Cheers, Terry

U.K launch must be in October or something.
The Sims is good and can be funny too, and the sequel looks amazing. It's like a new game. Check out the official website and watch the videos and pictures. If that dosen't make you wanna buy The Sims 2, I don't know what will...

I like the sims and as beavious (Welcome aboard) said, the sequel looks amazing.
For many people the sims is not game, itīs only a piece of garbage. "That depends entirely on what you want in a game."

Those screens do look very cool!
I enjoyed The Sims, though I did become a little bored with it after a while. However I have left it on my system because I love watching others pick it up and play with it. It's really funny to watch what others choose to do and how they react. An 8-year-old girl that we know came over. She immediately started redecorating the house (her mom is a furniture designer). Others of all ages can play it and get something out of it.
I hope that this new one sells even more copies. While the sheer amount of sales and expansion packs can be daunting, I think that anything that puts computer gaming in a positive light is a good thing.
And I sure love to hear them talk!

I'll probably check it out. I played the original waaaaaaaaaaaay back when it WAS original, for quite a few months. I'd be interested to see things shifted to full 3D, and some of the new features (like the birth/life/death cycle and memory) are intersting to me.
