I picked up an old game from the bargain bin at EB, it's called "American McGee's Alice". At first I was thinking so, so in the begining of the game, but as it progressed I've come to like it. I'm up to the Centipede Boss and trying to figure out his weakness, shouldn't be to hard.

It was an interesting take on the classic children's book, but I got bored with it after just a few hours.
Ya know it's funny, every now and again I think about what it would be like to revisit old games - on my current system - that I used to try and play on the hardware I had when they were first released.
I've never been able to keep entirely up with the latest hardware trends. By the time I did upgrade, the games that I wanted to play then had already been pushed aside for new games that I couldn't play on the new system.

Just wait until you get to the "steam" level. :)
I remember when that first came out back in 2000, how cool and unusual it was. I think I played that game on a 3dfx card. Now that was a year for PC games - NOLF, Deus Ex, Alice, Diablo II, Giants, BG2 I believe, and several more I can't think of off the top of my head.

I loved Alice. It has some of the coolest and creepiest level design ever, and the music is very cool.

It was very good story and design-wise, but I found the gameplay to get too repetitive, and I never finished it.

I picked that game up a couple months ago bundled with Clive Barker's Undying for 10$ CDN. Haven't gotten around to either one yet.

Alice was a fun stylish game IMO (Undying was even better 'Pop). Its one of the games that I have on my cheap laptop to play on the road since it seems to get along with my integrated video.
