Battlefield 1942 Help (haha)

Hey guys,

Just finished half life 2 a little while ago, and decided to sink back and try a classic. So I went to my nearest gaming store and picked up BF1942 for $20 CAD. Now I installed everything without a hitch, but when I try to get on a server, it tells me "I need the newest version (patch I assume) of the game". I've searched high and low, but I cannot find a patch that would work for this?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :(:

Well thanks for that guys, but the problem is that I already invested the time and downloaded the Retail v1.6.19 full patch. Alas, the problem persisted.

I'm really starting to get fumed and the thing is that I can't return this game, so I'm kind of screwed? Anyone else have a tidbit of info that might help? :scared:

You may be trying to join servers which are running the DC mod or have one of the other add-ons to the game such as Road to Rome.
Did you download the DC mod (http://www.desertcombat.com/?page=downloads)?
