When visiting forums on your list, how often do you formally log on to view posts or do you just visit as a guest to see new posts and log on when you want to reply to something?

I tend to visit posts as a guest and log on when I want to post. Except for this forum, of course.

If I'm registered, I always sign-in. I only lurk on forums I'm not registered on and don't see any reason to register on. For example, I visit a few computer hardware forums but only go there for info. I don't ever plan on posting anything.

I usually leave myself logged in with cookies, but on those forums where I don't come very frequently I lurk until I have something to say.

I stay cookied at my usual haunts. The only time I lurk is when I'm not registered, usually just looking for info. Basically what hooks said.
