aztec the curse in the he4art of the city of gold

I have the game aztec the curse in the heart of the city of gold, also known as the sacred amulet.
When i want to play the game, i can see the forplay but when i want to play myself the screen becoumes black and i'm back on my desktop.
My pc system requirement is oke i think.
Anyone an idea what the problem can be?

You might go ahead and list your pc specs. It might help someone diagnose your problem.

Make sure your video card drivers are updated and the game is patched.

Sounds like that is the problem more than anything.

Also, please list what Operating System you are running and hardware configurations. :)
