Ubisoft and Vivendi?

Shares in French video games publisher Ubisoft Entertainment SA surged Wednesday on a report that it discussed a "white knight" deal with Vivendi Universal SA to fight a possible takeover bid from U.S. rival Electronic Arts Inc.

Vivendi, EA... only real difference is that EA treats its employees like utter crap. otherwise, they're both big congolomerates. I hope this doesn't negatively effect what Ubi has been up to, but it probably will. Maybe we'll get lucky and see another Beyond Good and Evil game if one of these guys liked the original... but I don't want to get my hopes up either. I would LOVE to see a sequel!

Well, I wouldn't consider Vivendi a conglomeration, especially with them trying to get rid of their games division. Who knows, Ubisoft might actually buy it from them like Vivendi's been wanting somebody to for a while now.
