...and I got the notion in my head to join a PvP server and give it a try. Any of you guys tried PvP in WoW yet? I came across this video of a pair of level 33 rogues on the Horde side. Makes me want to try out a PvP Rogue. If I do, I will report back and give the server/character info. (IF the damned servers ever some back up)

Oh yeah, just a reminder to everyone, Tueday morning, like I said previously, scheduled maintenance every Tuesday morning with and estimated time of 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM PST (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM EST), but like I also said earlier plan for a longer downtime than the estimate.
Like I said before, these things are scheduled and announced on the WoW website for all to see, I also mentioned it in the guild thread with a link to the WoW site telling people when the scheduled maintenance is. Until they change their scheduled day and time for maintenance, don't even bother trying to log on Tuesday mornings/early afternoon.
As for PvP, nope. I jumped in for a bit, but that is where all the smacktalk is, bunch of people running around just killing people for fun, etc. PvP is alright, but its not my cup of tea when people just totally ignore the game just to kill everybody else. Blah, not my cup of tea, reminds me of the Diablo/Quake III type of crowd in there, full of smack talk and leet speak. Blech!

heh, I guess that's one consolation: even though I'd rather be at home, at least I'm not missing prime WoW playing time. Although I'm sure I could still find something I'd rather do at home than here at work.
And yeah, that whole leet speak kids thing is why I tend to avoid PvP servers. Not at all interested in bopping along, doing my thing, then getting my ass "handed" to me by someone 3 times my level who is doing nothing but griefing other players. No thanks, I'd rather have fun with my game.

lol that looked cool.
Hey NSF... if you're creating something on pvp server, tell me and I'll make a rouge as well. We'll go hunt some people =]

I made a Gnome Rogue...for about 2 minutes. There were about 50 Gnome and Dwarf players in the newbie area. The first four I saw were named Pimpdaddy, Bigpimpin, Weedman, and Ballsonyourchin. I then deleted my character.
From what I read, most of the game in PvP is the same as in regular servers. You have to go to certain zones to PvP, it's Alliance vs. Horde only, and you have to attack an opposing NPC or flag yourself as PvP in order to fight other players.
I'll stick to my PvE server, thank you very much.
By the way, I started a Gnome Rogue named Mourne today. Almost 8th level so far and loving it.
