All right, I'm over it and need a hint. I guess playing it right after Half-Life 2 is the problem, but I'm just disappointed and impatient to finish it, now. Just like the reviews said, the first three levels are pretty good; and I enjoyed playing them as much as the original, but then things go downhill. The Stone Pit levels with their very tedious jumping puzzles coupled with the long load times wore me out, but I struggled through them; and now I'm at the final boss-battle, and I just don't feel like spending a lot of time discovering the secret to killing him.

What's the skinny on doing him in? What is the significance of the circles of fire? Am I supposed to lure him into them, or maybe stand inside them, myself? He stops and recharges or something, sometimes, and he kneels down like he's tired, ocassionaly, but I don't see any rhyme or reason to it, so far, and I'm just wasting ammo. Any advice. I hate to not finish a game, but I'm not into this one, and I just want to be done with it. Edward.

Stand in one of the circles and let Alastor damage you. A golem/stone giant thing will eventually approach and strike him, which will leave him stunned and vulnerable. That's when you can start blasting him apart.

I pretty much rushed through the rest of the game starting from the middle of the Coliseum level. I thought the Dead City, Leningrad and Loony Park were awesome, but the most of the other levels were more aggravating than fun. At least it was only 20 bucks Canadian.

Thanks, Nova, that sounds easy enough. I had wondered what the significance of those rock golems were. I only paid thirteen bucks for it from gogamers, so I guess I shouldn't be complaining. I might even replay the first three levels, some day, but the rest of the game is just plain tedious. Take care. Edward.

That's not what I wanted to hear.

Eh, I suppose that sooner or later I will grab this, but I'm waiting for the $10 bin. :p:

Sorry, Drewby. It's probably worth ten bucks for the first three levels. They were pretty good if you like the original PainKiller. I just killed the final boss, and I'm glad to be done with it, myself. Time for something else. Edward.
