The Firing Squad have posted part 2 of their 3D Performance with Far Cry article! using Nvidia's Flagship GPU the GeForce 6800 Ultra.

After further analysis with Far Cry, it turns out the game isn’t quite the technological tour de force we suggested in part 1 of our 3D Performance with Far Cry article. In that article, we highlighted the game’s use of 2.0 shaders, and while these shaders are used in the game, it turns out that they’re not used as extensively as we suggested. In fact, from what we can tell, Far Cry mainly uses 1.1 shaders to achieve the jaw-dropping visuals we discussed in the intro.

I know this is probably the wrong topic to ask this and i don't hope anyone to answer it but i have a question:

i really want to play this game but im not sure i can take advantage of its potencial with my system:
Celeron 2.5 GHz
256 RAM (here its my biggest concern)
geforce 6200 256MB

i want to know how good can i play it, with the best performance without compromising the game experience.

Well I was wondering what your system specs were from the other thread, lol.
I still dont know what monitor and resolution you play at though.

Anyhow, The performance isnt gonna be good on that system as it just meets the minimum requirements of that game.

To be honest with you a total new system is probably your best bet. Do you know what motherboard you have?
