An overdue opening party...

Well all, it looks like it's more than past time for a big party to open these new forums.

And so to open it, please come on over to Bridie O'Chai's!

To those not familiar with this concept - Bridie O'Chai's is a 'virtual tavern' set up a while back - it's the kicker for a thread title where we can all relax, order something from the extensive menu (all based on gaming) and sit back and have fun.

The bar's that-away *points to massive long bar dominating the far wall of the tavern* and you can get food there. Tables are scattered all over. Foos-ball, pool and more are over to the left, but watch out for Duke, he's gotten pretty good at 9-Ball.

We welcome all underaged patrons, and no you can't order alcohol, but you can get (almost) any non-alcoholic drink you want.

And yes we do have boucers - tonight we've got Sarevok (who's a bit tense lately, so watch out) and Goku (who was looking for a job). We get a few celebrity patrons now and then. I hear Wolverine's in town, and he's always up for a new pub. Lara Croft is also around, but she's been avoiding publicity lately, especially since the NVidia Fairy came to town.

Anyway, there've been some recent changes to management and such, so I'll get those out of the way.

After the recent incident involving the arrival of the real God of Evil, his evil twin and the unfortunate scandal that embroiled the Olsen twins, Bridie O'Chai's owner Chai Lim has taken an extended leave to go back to the old country (Atul'i) across the waves. My father decided it was time to take an extended holiday, and so has left me in charge!

So long live the new manager! ME!

Hey all, I contacted Morte and he'll be along shortly. Hopefully his scar-covered blueish friend with no name will show up too. After a few drinks Morte and I may have to make a few jokes at the amnesiac's expense. :lol:

Since I like to start out with the good stuff, I'll take a tall glass of Flin and a shooter of Sujamma. I know that it's VERY hard to come by, but if you can dig up a bottle of Ancient Dagoth Ur Brandy and put it on ice for later, I sure would appreciate it.

And the finally, to wrap up the evening, I'll try the Mort's Mysteries with 3 fingers of Chavas 21yr Royal Salute.

And speaking of wrapping up Circlebreaker, be careful of what Kate's liable to wrap up! :joker:

Sorry for arriving late and congrats on the promotion. The old place looks great!

Please start me out with a simple draft of your finest local brew ~ Fraggle Bock. We'll get into the good single malt later on.

I've been out west scouring the Underdark for some rare magical runes and have really worked-up an appetite. So I'm thinking about the Stone Giant Steak for dinner, maybe with a large side of fraggle fries and a nice, crunchy cyber salad with house dressing. For dessert? The Longest Cake sounds like an appropriate end to a feast fit for a famished adventurer turned dungeon crawler. What do you recommend?

Yeah, Lara can be pretty flighty after a few drinks. That's why I dumped her for a nice girl named Grace Nakimura a few years ago. But she wanted too much of a commitment too soon. Besides, she obviously still had a thing for her boss Gabe.

Then I dated a really nice art student named April Ryan for a while. But she kept disappearing to an alternate reality every time I turned around. Now, I'm seeing Kate Walker when she's in town. Problem is that recently she's been wandering around the Russian wilderness looking for some mythical mammoths with a strange automaton, a polar bear cub and some old guy named Hans. Oh well, I hope she gets it out of her system soon and comes home. I miss her.
