I am having problems with Rome Total War.

I have a number of different problems when playing the Imperial Campaign as follows: -

During a battle, the game crashes to a blue screen so obviously graphics probs.

When in the Campaign map mode and I click the faction icon and click “Senate” the game crashes to the desktop.

I am playing the game on a Dell laptop and really want to continue this. I have heard there may be problems with the Nvidia graphics card and of course I read this on the box but I hoped for the best(Stupido I know)!!

The Dell has a Nvidia GeForce4 4200 Go (Dell mobile) graphics card and I have loaded the latest Nvidia drivers which Nvidia say is Version 66.93. and works for mobiles also. Trouble is the game still crashes when I click the senate tab. Have not had a battle for a few days so heaven knows what will happen then?

Any answers people apart from play it on a PC?

It could be some graphic card settings issues ...

Aucrun - Thanks for this. Activision say the same and worse - games not for laptops. I am nearly scared to say this but I have played for 2 nights for 2 hours without probs. If Dell ever produce their own drivers for the Nvidia I might try them but they probably won't. Might have to sell wife to buy PC
