And when I say Dredd, I mean the comic character and not the naff Sylvester Stallone film rendition of him.

There was a very short-lived comic, that only managed to see a total of 3 issues published 1993. I remember it yanking my attention one afternoon, when I took my first foray into the local, just-opened comic shop. I say yanked because I was obsessed about the idea of someday dating a rail-thin goth chic, and the protagonist in this comic was a rail-thin goth chic. She was also the sister of another comic book character, Sandman, and had been first introduced in, if I'm recalling correctly, issue #6 of that comic.
Her name was Death, and the comic was called Death: The High Cost of Living. This thread prompted me to look for it again. Amazingly enough, I still have all three issues, in mint condition (I thought I'd thrown them away, years ago, along with a few Hellraiser comics I apparently still have.) The Platinum issue is a copy of issue #1, but with a different cover, and cost me $45.00. I wonder if it's still worth anything (grin):

One thing that really attracted me to it was the woman on the cover of all three issues. She wasn't drawn, rather, she was a model who'd posed for each issue, and was the real life visage of the character. I'd often wondered who she was, and what she looked like when not posing for the comic. There's no modeling credit for her anywhere in the comics themselves. Then, several years ago, I was recalling fond memories I had reading the comic, and suddenly realized that, with the advent of the Net, I could finally find out who she was. I did a search for "death the high cost of living", and found a link referencing a "Goth supermodel" named Donna Ricci. Turns out she had a web site (and still does):
Donna Ricci (http://www.donnaricci.com) (parental guidance suggested)
The only other comic I've ever read is Hellraiser, which I mentioned above. They were really graphic novel adaptations of some of his short stories.

My favirite characters in comics change usually rather fast, as soon as I've found a new good series, but currently I'm really liking the 'Donjon' graphic novels. I don't know whether they've been published outside Europe, but they're amazingly inventive. My favorite characters in them are both Herbert (the duck) and Marvin (the dragon).
